Project Overview

Bayer Crop Science aimed to revolutionise its customer management process by developing a robust application for partners and growers, and to build a customer feedback collection program.


This application was designed to streamline the distribution of Bayer-certified products while providing enhanced functionalities for tracking product trials, collecting feedback, and synchronising data for internal analysis.

Bayer Crop Science lacked visibility into product trials, feedback collection, and the popularity of their products among growers.

Distributors faced difficulties in tracking real-time data, managing geo-specific grower networks and conducting trial activities efficiently.

Grower Requirements:

Growers required a platform to connect with distributors, receive guidance on crop varieties, and request quotes and trial packs.

Current Process

Planning

The Market Dev. team devises trial plans, with crop variety, plots., locations, and coordinators.

Cascading

Subsequently, the MD team shares the plan with distributors for trial execution with growers.

Evaluation

Following the trial, growers provide feedback through a pre-set assessment.

Co-ordination

The Trial Coordinator then collects data from distributors for further analysis.

Creating Assessment

Assessment can be initiated by both Distributor and Grower, requiring users to choose the Variety and trial location.

Following initial screens, the core process entails adding parameters like overall ratings, comments, trait assessments, and optional media files (photos and videos) that can later enhance product sales.

Digital assessments provides structure and reduces the likelihood of errors.

Comparing Varities

Users can compare different crop varieties based on ratings, reviews, traits, price, and product segmentation to make informed decisions according to their requirements.

Providing genuine autonomy to users can boost engagement and creativity.

Tracking Trial History

Both growers and dealers have comprehensive access to their historical performance data, including rejected trials, with the ability to filter through various parameters such as status, date, crop, variety, and grower for efficient trial retrieval.

Well organised data simplifies navigation and fosters user trust and efficiency.

Tracking Grower’s Activities

Dealers can get a view of all the ongoing trials in his territory, this helps him track all of his growers’ activities at a glance without having the need to track individually.

A comprehensive view streamlines management tasks and decision making.
